Living in New England, we are so fortunate to have an almost endless amount of drop-dead gorgeous wedding settings to choose from. Between the mountains, lakes, countryside, coast, and city settings, you can have just about any vibe for your wedding that you want! Even including a European-style wedding. That’s right! There’s a whole host of European-style wedding venues in New England, and I’m sharing all of my favorites today.

My Favorite European Style Wedding Venues in New England
Glen Manor House
Located in Portsmouth, RI, Glen Manor House boasts the ability to host “grand yet intimate” events. I love that they have so many indoor and exterior spaces to choose from for your day. There’s the interior mansion, covered patios, gardens, and a waterfront lawn.

It’s romantic and elegant!
Rosecliff
Looking to host a Newport mansion wedding? You’ll love Rosecliff. Set on 8 acres of oceanfront landscape (truly breathtaking) in Newport, RI, this Gilded Age mansion can host celebrations both inside as well as outdoors. The mansion has a white terracotta exterior and showcases beautiful architecture with stunning uniqueness inside and out.

It’s old-world romance with timeless character.
Crane Estate
One of my absolute favorite buildings in all of New England, Crane Estate is a spectacular wedding venue. It sits atop a hill in Ipswich, MA, and overlooks the ocean. The grounds are just incredible. There are rolling grass hills lined with perfectly pruned evergreens leading down to the ocean, and lots of Italian-inspired gardens throughout. They also offer several different locations throughout the property for your wedding, each at varying budget levels.

[I love Crane Estate so much that I wrote a whole blog post about it here!]
Boston Public Libray
Believe it or not, you can have a European villa-style wedding right in the heart of Boston. Boston Public Library weddings are true stunners. The event staff will help you select the perfect locations within the library to hold your wedding, but my favorite combination has to be a courtyard ceremony followed by a Bates Hall reception. This was what my couple Sarah + Greg chose for their November wedding, and it remains one of my favorites ever!

The BPL is the epitome of sophisticated elegance!
The Omni Mount Washington
For an elegant wedding in the mountains, you need to look at the Omni Mount Washington in Bretton Woods, NH. It’s situated right in New Hampshire’s White Mountains and has so much historic elegance. The hotel itself has been a premiere resort since it was built in 1902 and has terraces, verandas, and ballrooms – all with stunning views of the Whites. My couple Sarah + Jake held a summer wedding there at the Omni’s newest structure – the Rosebrook Lodge, but the entire property is beautiful.

Misselwood Estate & Tupper Manor
Both Misselwood Estate and Tupper Manor are operated by Endicott College in Beverly, MA, and incredibly beautiful. They’re coastal estate-style venues and both have so much historic charm and gorgeous architecture.

[For more inspiration from these venues check out Amanda + Adam and Christina + John!]
Shepherd’s Run
Shepherd’s Run is in South Kingstown, RI is an amazing – and huge! – property. It sits on 36 acres and is a vineyard as well as a resort. The staff will help you customize your wedding here and help you choose between all of their spaces, including the Winemaker’s Room, Wine Hall, Manor Terrace, and Rush Sturges Study.

I love the charm it has with the unique stone estate and the sprawling gardens.
Wadsworth Mansion
If you’re looking for a Connecticut wedding venue, definitely check out Wadsworth Mansion in Middletown! It’s a gorgeous stately white mansion nestled into the green surroundings. Its historic architecture was beautifully restored to its original grand condition.
It’s a beautiful country estate surrounded by parklands and manicured gardens.

The Garden at Elm Bank
Dreaming of getting married in the middle of a European-inspired garden? You will love The Garden at Elm Bank in Wellesley, MA! A Massachusetts Horticultural Society property, The Garden at Elm Bank is simply stunning. The gardens are expertly maintained, and you’ll feel transported away to another world when you visit.

Elli + Cam’s day there was an absolute dream.
The Mansion at Turner Hill
Finally, the Mansion at Turner Hill in Ipswich, MA is a must-see. I’m particularly partial to all of the coastal estate-style venues on the Massachusetts North Shore, but I just love the old, historic feel that they all have! And Turner Hill is no different. So much gorgeous architecture everywhere you turn, stunning gardens, it’s so beautiful there.

I loved everything about Olivia + Jason’s day there – check it out.
