Tupper Manor at Endicott College is one of my favorite wedding venues in New England. I was so excited to photograph Christina and John’s wedding there last October! I love this venue for so many reasons, and I’m sharing all of the beautiful details from C + J’s Tupper Manor wedding today.
A Gorgeous Tupper Manor Wedding
Tupper Manor is a stunning mansion/estate-style venue located just north of Boston in Beverly, MA. It’s an elegant and historic mansion located right on the coast. So if you’re looking for an oceanfront wedding venue, it’s perfect!
The home was originally built in 1901 by famed architect Guy Lowell, who also designed Boston’s Museum of Fine Arts. It was built as a summer home for Canadian socialites, who then eventually sold the property to Endicott College in 1943. That’s when it gained its current name (named after the College’s founder, Dr. Eleanor Tupper).
As a Boston wedding photographer, I personally love this venue for its historic charm, gorgeous architectural details, and incredible natural light. It has tall ceilings, classic elegance, and even a grand staircase which is great for photos! And, last but not least, it has a secret path to its own private beach. It’s incredible.
From a wedding planning perspective, Tupper Manor is a great option because they offer customizable packages, and they have on-site accommodations for guests at their Wylie Inn. The North Shore is also a beautiful location for guests to explore especially if you have friends and family coming from out of town.

The Wedding Day Details
Christina + John’s Tupper Manor wedding was nothing less than you would expect – absolutely gorgeous all around!
Their love story began in Allston, at the bar Deep Ellum where they had their first date. The relationship bloomed from there, and then John surprised Christina with a sweet proposal at his parent’s house the day before Easter! I enjoyed getting to know them so much and was so excited to photograph their wedding.
And as mentioned, the day was impeccable. They chose a beautiful fall-toned color palette of greens and mauves, and Christina wore a gorgeous lace gown. Her dress was accented with a stunning peach and white wedding bouquet, and the tables were decorated with beautiful white flowers and lots of greenery. The florals matched the elegance of the Manor perfectly!
They also incorporated some nice personal touches such as lots of family photos, maple syrup favors for guests at each place setting, and a surprise anniversary dance for Christina’s parents who shared their wedding date. And best of all? They skipped traditional wedding cake in favor of whoopie pies! It was the perfect New England wedding through and through.
