If you have been searching for mansion wedding venues in New England, then this post is for you! Living in New England we are so fortunate to have such a wide array of scenery and history, especially when it comes to wedding planning. Each of these unique wedding venues across MA, NH, RI, and CT offers lots of elegance and historic charm.
[Today I’m rounding up the best mansion wedding venues, but I’ve also shared my favorite New England wedding venues for any style wedding here!]
Mansion Wedding Venues in Massachusetts
1. Tupper Manor at Endicott College in Beverly, MA
Tupper Manor in Beverly is downright gorgeous. Its interiors are elegant, light-filled, and feature tall ceilings and grand staircases. If you are looking for a wedding venue with elegance and richness, this is it! The mansion is filled with natural light, and best of all, it’s nestled right on the coast in Beverly and has a secret path to its own private beach!
2. Misselwood at Endicott College, Beverly, MA
I love this beautiful venue in Beverly because it has an old-world charm. The Misselwood estate is brick with lots of greenery and character. But I also love it because it is nestled into the grounds of the property and right on the coast. Couples can even walk out onto the cliffs for stunning photos.
3. Mansion on Turner Hill, Ipswich, MA
Another grand wedding venue in beautiful Ipswich, MA is the Mansion on Turner Hill. I adore the grounds of this property, the classic brick mansion, as well as the pond. This venue is full of character inside and out.
4. Crane Estate in Ipswich, MA
Crane Estate is an all-time favorite venue of mine! The building is iconic – you may recognize it from photos in fact. The grounds of the property are stately and romantic with rolling grass hills leading down to the ocean, it truly feels like something out of a historical film. Crane Estate also offers lots of venue options on their property. You can choose between The Great House, The Barn, or Steep Hill Beach. Each is so unique and allows you to explore the grounds and stunning ocean views.
5. The Mansion at The Hellenic Center, Ipswich, MA
The Mansion at The Hellenic Center in Ipswich is a unique venue because it is actually a southern-style mansion, as compared to most classic New England-style architecture. The mansion features large white columns at the front, as well as romantic gardens and sweeping lawns. You’ll feel like you’re straight out of The Notebook!
6. Willowdale Estate, Topsfield, MA
Willowdale Estate is one of my favorite estate wedding venues in New England. It has year-round charm and is a beautiful venue inside and out! The stone patio is extremely romantic, especially with the string lights lit in the evening. But the indoor conservatory with perimeter windows is also so charming and full of warmth! And an added benefit, the food from the on-site catering is phenomenal.

7. The Boston Public Library in Boston, MA
Though it’s not a true residential-style mansion, I had to include the Boston Public Library on this list. This venue is so rich and grand, and perfect if you’re looking for a unique and historic wedding venue in Boston. You have several options for your wedding location from the Courtyard to the classic Bates Hall.
Mansion Wedding Venues in Rhode Island
8. Rosecliff, Newport, RI
Newport, Rhode Island is of course famous for its mansions along the coast. If you are looking for a regal setting for your wedding, then you will love Rosecliff! This property is unique, timeless, and downright stunning. It boasts over 8 acres of manicured grounds, and of course an oceanfront setting. This venue is great for receptions as well as on-site ceremonies.
9. Ochre Court at Salve Regina University
Ochre Court was actually the original building of Salve Regina, and the first 58 students lived, dined, and studied right in this building. The school has since grown to be much larger than this, but the original building is a super unique site for weddings. Their website states, “inspired by the late medieval period in French architecture, Ochre Court’s exterior features high roofs, turrets, whimsical gargoyles, and tall chimneys.” The interior has many ornate rooms with tall ceilings that are beautiful, but my favorite aspect of this venue is the exterior. It has beautiful ocean views and one of my favorite areas is the treelined path to the front of the building. It provides such a timeless backdrop for photos!
10. Ocean House, Watch Hill, RI
The Ocean House in Watch Hill, Rhode Island is New England coastal charm at its best. It is a 5-star hotel and resort with ocean views, direct access to the beach, and a quaint downtown area right nearby. As the Ocean House is a hotel, it conveniently offers accommodations for you and your guests to stay.
