Today I’m highlighting Megan and Randall’s Herb Lyceum wedding, and I couldn’t be more excited to share these photos! It was the most special day – one of my favorites, ever. Megan and Randall are such an amazing couple, and I’m so thrilled for them. Congrats M + R!
Herb Lyceum Wedding in May
Megan and Randall’s day was one of my all-time favorite weddings. But not for the reasons you might think. Yes, their day was STUNNING (getting to that in a minute!), but because of the connection. I really connected with M + R from the get-go – they let me in and shared their story with me, which I found so special. And the bond they had with eachother was beautiful too. It was quiet but steadfast. Supportive, and unending.
Megan and Randall also really valued the moments of connection with their families and guests throughout the day. They intentionally planned their wedding day timeline to include plenty of time so they could enjoy the company of their closest family and friends. This is actually one of my best pieces of wedding planning advice. As an added perk for M + R, The Herb Lyceum allows couples to stay on-site, so they were able to include their dog Waffles in their day, and really be present with their family and eachother the whole time.
A Garden Wedding
Okay, time for the details! This wedding was absolutely gorgeous from start to finish. I really loved the venue! If you’re looking for a Boston-area garden wedding venue, you’ll love The Herb Lyceum. The venue is a renovated 19th-century carriage house located on the property of the Gilson Family Homestead in Groton, MA. Their food is farm-to-table and just beautiful.
I also really loved how there were different and unique locations for each part of the wedding – and each was prettier than the last! Megan and Randall’s ceremony was in the sunken garden, cocktail hour was outdoors near the carriage house and gardens, the reception was in the greenhouse, and dancing was under a tent in the garden. All of the details that M + R planned were truly so special.
Wedding Film Photographer
As a Boston wedding photographer, I love getting to use film! I love that film photography allows for different artistic elements and can give you a softer feel and evoke different emotion. It is such a beautiful complement to digital photography and I love this combination for my couples. Â
Thrilled to share some of the film photos from Megan and Randall’s day
