Cambridge-elopement

Leah and Jimmy had the most romantic Cambridge elopement on a Saturday in May. Their day was a perfect example of planning a unique elopement celebration while still keeping the fun details of a traditional wedding day. If you are looking for Cambridge elopement inspiration, then keep reading to see more from L + J’s day!

A Romantic Cambridge Elopement Day

Leah and Jimmy have a sweet story – they met while in school in Florida and then moved to Boston together. Leah’s family is from Cuba, and Jimmy’s is from Wisconsin, so their new city was naturally the location they chose for their elopement celebration! They are such a sweet couple and it was truly an honor to be able to photograph them and their families on this special day.

They opted for a really intimate elopement in Cambridge. They were joined by just their immediate family members, making for a really personal day! They began with a beautiful ceremony in a park in Cambridge. It was a gorgeous May day so all of the flowers and greenery were really on display! Following the ceremony we captured some bridal portraits as well as some family photos.

From the park, we headed to Eddie V’s Prime Seafood for a beautiful meal. The restaurant was perfect for the group of 10 to have a nice, intimate meal to celebrate. Their families helped to decorate the table, and they had some cute touches like personalized drink koozies and their love story displayed on a sign. And of course, the meal was capped off with a stunning cake decorated with chocolate shavings and strawberries!

How to Plan a Unique Cambridge Elopement

Leah and Jimmy’s Cambridge elopement was a perfect example of really planning a unique and special elopement day celebration. If you don’t want to plan a traditional large wedding, you don’t have to! But that also doesn’t mean that you can’t have lots of fun details like gorgeous flowers and table decorations as L + J had.

I have seen my couples plan all sorts of fun and unique things for their elopement day. Gretchen and Richard had a lovely small ceremony with family on Comm Ave before meeting a larger group at a South End restaurant. Madison and Kevin eloped at City Hall in Boston and then celebrated at Frenchie Wine Bistro, and Lauren and Anthony hiked their favorite NH mountain at sunrise! Your wedding day can truly be whatever you want it to be.
