Their entire day, from the first-look at the Fairmont Copley Plaza to their reception party at Atlantico, embodied modern elegance. A Fairmont Copley Plaza Wedding First-Look
Gretchen and Richard chose the Fairmont Copley Plaza as their getting-ready location before their wedding ceremony, and the luxury hotel fit the elegant feel of their whole day perfectly. Gretchen absolutely radiated classic beauty in her gown and pearl accessories. We captured a few photos of her on our way downstairs to meet Richard for their first look, and she could not have looked more stunning!
Once downstairs, we met up with Richard for their first look in Copley Plaza. Richard was handsome in a blue suit, and together they shared a few romantic moments before we headed to their ceremony site nearby.
A Sweet Boston Wedding Ceremony
My favorite part of photographing weddings is really being able to tell a couple’s story. I was so thankful that G+R let me in and shared with me the sweet story of how they found each other and fell in love. The Comm Ave mall has a lot of significance to them and their relationship, and so that is where they decided to hold their ceremony. The romantic history of this location for them made their ceremony extra special!
The Reception at Atlantico Boston
There are so many unique ways you can celebrate your marriage now – it doesn’t always have to be a traditional affair! Gretchen and Richard chose to think outside the box and planned something that was really unique to them. They invited only about 40 of their closest loved ones to witness their ceremony but then celebrated with a larger group afterward at Atlantico Boston. And the reception itself was non-traditional as well. They opted for more of a cocktail party rather than a typical dinner reception – such a fun and unique way to celebrate! Atlantico served up some gorgeous seafood appetizers while guests mingled happily.
