A Floriana wedding was the perfect setting for Kayleigh and Jack’s late May celebration. It was such an honor to photograph their day! There was so much emotion throughout, and their love for each other and excitement to be getting married was truly palpable. I’m thrilled to share the images and details from their beautiful wedding in Ipswich!
A Floriana Wedding for Kayleigh + Jack
Kayleigh and Jack met in high school and have spent a lot of time apart since then as they’ve gone through school and started their careers. Kayleigh has moved around a lot, including across the country to Milwaukee for medical school, and the challenge of being apart so much has only brought them closer and made them treasure the time they have together. So getting to watch them finally celebrate their marriage surrounded by everyone they love was really special!
Before their wedding day, I also had the pleasure of photographing their engagement session on the beach in Gloucester, and it was such a perfect evening. The lighting at sunset was incredible! They brought along an oyster picnic to the beach as a personal touch, which was so fun because their raw bar was actually one of the things they were most excited about for their wedding too! They were so excited to have some photos of the two of them slugging oysters at the raw bar on their wedding day, so we definitely made sure to make that happen.
A Timeless Floriana Wedding Aesthetic
Everything about Kayleigh and Jack’s wedding day felt timeless. Their florals were classic and beautiful– they chose white florals with blue hydrangea accents, and the rest of their decor, their cake, Kayleigh’s dress, and Jack’s tux all perfectly coordinated with the elegant, timeless vibe of the estate. It all came together so cohesively and felt so fitting for such a classic venue!
About the Floriana Wedding Venue
Floriana is a historic Georgian-style mansion that has been beautifully preserved and is surrounded by sprawling grounds of lush greenery. It’s located in Ipswich, MA, making it super convenient to Boston while still offering the classic coastal charm of the North Shore.
Everywhere you look, there’s gorgeous architecture and character throughout the property. We took full advantage of that by doing lots of portraits inside the mansion because there are so many stunning backdrops to work with!
The venue also has three getting-ready spaces upstairs, so everyone can get ready on-site, which is such a nice and convenient perk. I was able to capture some fun getting-ready photos with both sides before their day got fully underway.
For the warmer months, Floriana offers tented weddings under their stationary sailcloth tent, which is what Kayleigh and Jack had for their reception, along with a beautiful indoor ceremony. And if you’re planning a winter wedding, they can also accommodate up to 200 guests in their indoor ballroom.
Floriana is a gorgeous estate wedding venue, and one of my favorites on the North Shore!

Feeling Like Yourself in Front of the Camera
Ahead of their wedding day, Kayleigh and Jack mentioned that they were a little worried about not knowing how to pose and needing some direction, which is so normal! Weddings and engagement sessions are often the first time couples are being professionally photographed, so it’s very common to feel this way. And after the wedding, Kayleigh shared something that truly meant the world to me; she said that she can remember exactly how she felt in every moment because the images in their gallery are so representative of how her day truly felt. Which is always my goal!
Beautiful photos are wonderful, but capturing the feeling of your day authentically is what I strive for. So hearing that is the highest honor!
