If you’re searching for a wedding venue in New Hampshire, The Venues At The Factory in Manchester is absolutely worth considering. This industrial-chic space has the perfect blend of character and flexibility, making it such a great choice if you want a venue that can truly reflect your vision.
As a New England wedding photographer, I had the pleasure of photographing a gorgeous wedding here recently for Alex and Xavier, and I’m excited to share what makes this venue special!

Why Choose The Venues At The Factory for Your Wedding
The Venues At The Factory is housed in a building with incredible history. It was originally built in 1905 as the W.H. McElwain Shoe Factory, which was once one of America’s largest shoe manufacturers. Today, that industrial history gives the space tons of character, while the modern updates create a sophisticated atmosphere that works perfectly for weddings of all kinds.
What I love most about this venue is how it balances a unique aesthetic with room for your personal design to shine. The interior has plenty of personality on its own, but it’s also a blank canvas that can transform to match whatever style you’re envisioning for your day.

The Venues At The Factory’s Couple-First Approach
One thing that sets this venue apart is its couple-first philosophy. Their entire team is there to support you and work collaboratively with your vendor team to bring your vision to life. The team’s core values include staying calm and confident that every challenge has a solution, complete transparency in their pricing and policies (everything is listed upfront on their website, so you have no surprises!), and inclusivity for all couples.
Their goal isn’t just to provide a beautiful space, but to make your entire planning process feel simplified and relaxed. And unlike many venues, they don’t restrict you to a preferred vendor list, which means you have the freedom to bring in the team that will best help execute your vision (and that suits your budget).

The Layout and Spaces
The venue offers multiple connected interior spaces that each serve different functions, all without requiring your guests to travel far. You’ll have access to the lounge, the grotto, and the main gallery, which gives you flexibility in how you use the space throughout your day.
The gallery is large enough to accommodate 50-200+ guests comfortably, and it’s versatile enough to host both your ceremony and reception in different areas of the same space. And despite its size, it can still feel intimate, which is perfect if you’re having a smaller celebration. There is endless natural light throughout the space, making it beautiful any time of year. The light also makes for gorgeous photo opportunities.
In the warmer months, they also have outdoor spaces available that you can use for your ceremony, first look, or as part of your reception experience. The outdoor areas include fire pits, which add a fun element for your guests to enjoy!

Built-In Amenities At The Venues At The Factory
When you book your wedding at The Venues At The Factory, your venue rental also includes some great built-in design features. Bistro lights and draping are already in place (though these can be removed if they don’t fit your aesthetic), and tons of furniture is included as well. This can make your planning process a lot easier, while still maintaining the flexibility to customize the space.
If you’re looking for accommodations on-site, they offer getting-ready spaces and evening lodging right at the venue, which is incredibly convenient for you and your wedding party!

The Location in Manchester, NH
The Venues At The Factory is located right in the heart of Manchester, which is so convenient. There are plenty of hotel options just steps away, including pet-friendly accommodations (so nice because the venue itself is dog-friendly with a dog park included!).
There’s also a local distillery right next door, which could be a fun option for a welcome party. And parking is incredibly easy with dedicated on-site parking plus free street parking.
Manchester offers that urban vibe without the hassle of city traffic you’d encounter in Boston. It’s just 90 minutes from Boston and 45 minutes from Portsmouth and the New Hampshire seacoast, making it super accessible for guests traveling from throughout New England.
