Martha’s Vineyard is hands-down one of my favorite places to visit. It’s incredible in the summer, but I also love the local off-season vibes during the fall and spring as well! It’s classic New England charm, with so many scenic locations to explore. So of course, as a New England wedding photographer, I LOVE when I get to photograph a wedding on the Vineyard! If you’re thinking about planning an island wedding, this post is for you – I’m sharing all of my favorite Martha’s Vineyard wedding venues to help you in your search.
My Favorite Martha’s Vineyard Wedding Venues
Allen Farm – Chilmark
Allen Farm is the oldest continuously working family farm on Martha’s Vineyard, dating back 14 generations. That history gives the property an authentic, connected atmosphere that feels deeply tied to the island.
The farm’s rolling fields overlook the ocean, and you even have access to a private beach during your wedding. With animals grazing nearby and fresh produce being grown on the land, Allen Farm is truly special. It’s a setting that’s both rustic and breathtaking.
Aquinnah Vanderhoop Homestead – Aquinnah
Situated high above the western coast, the grounds of the Aquinnah Vanderhoop Homestead offer one of the most striking views on the island.
While the historic building itself isn’t available for use, the outdoor stone terrace makes for a stunning ceremony or cocktail hour location, overlooking the famous clay cliffs. The Gay Head Lighthouse is nearby as well, and the public Moshup Beach is within walking distance.
The Aquinnah Vanderhoop Homestead is a dream spot if you’re looking for those iconic Vineyard landscapes in your photos!
Lambert’s Cove Inn & Resort – West Tisbury
Lambert’s Cove Inn is a charming resort in West Tisbury, offering a variety of settings for your wedding day. A unique feature of this venue is that ceremonies are held in their English Garden, where New England charm meets British elegance. You won’t find a ceremony site like this anywhere else on the island.
I also love their lawn spaces, indoor historic farmhouse, and tented reception area.
For amenities, the property also features a pool and comfortable on-site lodging (as well as a farm!), making it easy to host your guests for the full Vineyard experience. It’s intimate and full of island character.

Martha’s Vineyard Museum – Vineyard Haven
If you love history and coastal charm, the Martha’s Vineyard Museum will be right up your alley!
The stately front lawn overlooks the Lagoon and Vineyard Haven Harbor, creating a perfect backdrop for ceremonies or cocktail hours. And the building itself has an incredible history–it was built in 1895 as a Marine Hospital and served through both World Wars!
It’s a one-of-a-kind setting for a wedding celebration.
Harbor View Hotel – Edgartown
The Harbor View Hotel in Edgartown is a Martha’s Vineyard icon, set in the heart of town overlooking the harbor and Lighthouse Beach. It’s a timeless and elegant venue with beautiful settings inside and out. It overlooks the harbor and Lighthouse Beach for incredible views.
The Harbor View offers luxury amenities for you and your guests, including activities like yacht rides, fishing excursions, and golf on their on-site course that’s hosted several former presidents. You can even opt for a horse-drawn carriage ride from your ceremony to your reception!
Atria – Edgartown
Atria is a restaurant venue with incredible dining and a cozy, upscale atmosphere. Housed in a 19th-century sea captain’s home, it offers multiple spaces for celebrations: a tented patio and lawn for outdoor events, or you can do a full restaurant buyout as well. They also have a Brick Cellar for late-night dancing and afterparties!
The food here is impeccable, making it the perfect choice if you’re hoping for a wedding with an unforgettable dining experience.
