If you’ve been on the hunt for unique wedding locations in Boston, opting for a restaurant wedding can be a really fun way to go. I’ve had the opportunity to photograph weddings at several different restaurants around town, so I thought I’d round up my favorite Boston restaurant wedding venues to help you in your search.

First, Why Should You Choose a Boston Restaurant Wedding Venue?

1 – It’s an Exciting Non-Traditional Option
For couples who are looking to go the non-traditional route, having your wedding at a restaurant can be a really cool and interesting option! It also gives you a lot of flexibility to have your ceremony in an alternate area or off-site location (such as somewhere outdoors!) while still hosting a dinner and dancing reception.
My couple, Gretchen and Richard, did this. They really wanted to have a small ceremony on the Commonwealth Mall because it held a lot of significance to them and their relationship. And then, they hosted their reception for all of their guests at Atlantico Boston.
2 – You’re Guaranteed a Good Meal
If you’re foodies, then you’re likely looking forward to serving a delicious meal to your guests at your wedding. And when you host your event at a restaurant, you’ll know you’re getting a delicious meal there! Since there are seemingly endless options, especially in Boston, you’re sure to find an atmosphere and cuisine that fits your vision.
3 – You Won’t Need as Much Decor
Unlike a traditional venue, having your wedding at a restaurant means that the space will already have an ambiance to it. So you won’t need to bring as much to decorate. You can lean into the restaurant’s already existing design.

My Favorite Boston Restaurant Wedding Venues
So now that your wheels are turning and the idea of a restaurant wedding is starting to take shape, here are my top three favorites in the Boston area!
1 – Frenchie Wine Bistro
Speaking of already existing ambiance, Frenchie is absolutely beautiful. As the name suggests, it’s a modern French restaurant and wine bar with the coziest yet elegant decor. It’s located on Tremont Street in the South End and has perfect romantic date night vibes.
The space has a wall-length wine bar and a garden-side solarium with beautiful natural light. The decor is minimalist yet full of personality and artistic interior design.
Dinner is typically held on long tables, which brings your guests all together family-style. Then they have an exterior patio space for people to step outside and relax. I also love that they have a separate dance space– so fun! And best of all, their staff are incredibly helpful and accommodating.
My couple, Madison and Kevin, held their super stylish reception at Frenchie after eloping at Boston City Hall earlier that day.

Terra at Eataly Boston
I had the pleasure of photographing a wedding at Eataly Boston recently, and I was blown away by the venue!
If you’ve never been, Eataly is an Italian food hall/market concept in the Prudential Tower. Their restaurant, Terra, is located on the third floor of Eataly and is where weddings can be held.
The restaurant itself is inspired by the earth and fire and centers around a wood-burning grill. Their menu features seasonal ingredients grilled over the open flames. The grill is right at the center of an open concept kitchen. This makes for a really exciting experience for your guests! And not to mention an incredible meal.
Similar to Frenchie, Terra has incredible natural light with skylights and rooftop exposure. It also has walls of greenery and overhead florals that add life and interest to the event space. It’s really a sight to see.
My couple, Sam and Spencer, were married there at Terra, and they were able to have both their ceremony and reception right in the space. You could also have an off-site ceremony and just host dinner and dancing at Terra, there are lots of options for flexibility!

SRV Boston
Finally, SRV Boston is a gorgeous option for weddings. It’s a Venetian-style Bacaro and wine bar, also in the South End, and they specialize in Italian small bites. Their menu is inspired by traditional Venetian food with a modern twist.
They have both indoor and outdoor spaces for your wedding, which is a nice option to have if you’re planning your wedding during the warmer months. Their spaces are very versatile, and they can accommodate a good number of guests for a restaurant venue. Their private dining room holds 45 for a seated dinner, 60 for a standing reception, and their full space can host up to 114 guests for a seated dinner or 180 for a reception.
