One of the best parts of planning an elopement is that you can make your day anything you want it to be. There’s no “script,” as compared to a traditional wedding where there’s more of a typical structure to the day.
However, this flexibility can make the planning process a little harder, because you sometimes aren’t sure where to even begin!
So I thought it would be helpful to put together this guide to elopement photography packages, because this will be one of your biggest vendor selections during the process.

Planning a Boston Elopement
As I mentioned, elopements are so special because your day can be totally unique and completely crafted to your vision. It can really be a true reflection of you both, because there’s so much more room to focus on the things that are most important to you.
You can do something wild and adventurous, like hike to the top of a mountain at sunrise to exchange vows, or head down to City Hall for a chic city elopement. You have the freedom to make your celebration exactly what you want!
The First Steps
The first few things you’ll want to decide are when and where you want to elope. I recently wrote this guide to planning a Boston elopement, which goes into more detail on each of the key steps of the elopement planning process.
Once you have those pieces decided, then it’s time to select the vendors you’d like to work with, such as your photographer, florist, or baker.
My Approach as a Boston Elopement Photographer
Again, because your elopement day can be so personalized, my approach is to work with you to create a custom proposal that fits you and your day.
We can customize things like:
- The number of hours of photography coverage you’d like
- Whether you’d like to include Super 8 silent film along with your photos
- Turnaround speed
- Print products
- And anything else you have in mind!
As always with my wedding photography collections, I work with both digital and film photography. Your elopement photo gallery will include a beautiful blend of these two mediums.
I also take a documentary-style approach, so your gallery will tell the story of your day with authentic imagery.
I will collaborate with you on your elopement day timeline, and I’m always happy to help you brainstorm ideas for things to do or locations for photos. Being there for you as you’re planning is one of my favorite parts of the process!
After your elopement day, you’ll receive your high-resolution digital images both through an electronic gallery as well as an heirloom drive, and will have full print release rights so you can use your images however you’d like.
[I also always encourage my couples to consider having photos printed in an album as well, because there’s truly nothing like leafing through your physical wedding album to relive your day.]
Elopement Photography Packages & Pricing
My elopement pricing starts at $3,200 for two hours of photography coverage. This is enough time for your ceremony and portraits of you both and any guests you’ve invited in a few locations.
Depending on how you decide to celebrate, we can customize things from there!
And if you are considering more of a micro wedding (with perhaps more guests and/or a group celebration such as a dinner), coverage begins at $3,700 for four hours.
Four hours will cover your ceremony, portraits, and some events before and/or after. For example, things like getting ready, breakfast, dessert, or a celebratory dinner.
The process starts with a getting to know you call, so I can understand exactly what you’re looking for and help you find the perfect package to suit your needs.
