I am so excited to share this elegant yet casual seaside Marblehead wedding today. Grace and Jack curated such a special day filled with elegant details and personal touches. From getting ready to the fireworks at the end of the night, it was all dreamy! And the best part was that the entire event took place at Grace’s family’s home. If you are looking for backyard wedding ideas, then this Massachusetts beach wedding will definitely give you inspiration!
A Marblehead Wedding on the Beach
Grace and Jack’s Marblehead wedding took place at Grace’s parents’ residence by the sea. Their home was the perfect setting as it combined formal elegance with the more casual vibe of Grace and Jack’s personalities, creating such a beautiful event. Their residence was a home base for everyone to gather and get ready before the ceremony at the neighborhood beach. Before the ceremony Grace and Jack had a touching first look on the beach with their dog Roo. I always love when my couples include their pups on their wedding day!
Jack and his daughter Adylan, who was his best woman, also had a first look together which was really sweet. And not to mention, Grace looked incredible in her simple yet elegant fit and flare gown! Grace’s family was so excited to host everyone at their residence, and it was such an honor to be a part of this event!
Marblehead Wedding Details
As I mentioned, Grace and Jack’s ceremony took place on the beach by her family’s home. They incorporated so many personal moments into the day, including during the ceremony. Jack’s mom’s partner performed the ceremony, and Grace’s family friend played guitar during the ceremony. Jack’s daughter and Grace’s sister stood as the best woman and maid of honor. The ceremony was simple yet so sweet. Coastal perfection!
After that, everyone migrated back to the home and backyard tent for some passed appetizers. The reception space was beautifully decorated with soft pink and peach florals, and string lights hung in the tent for a romantic ambiance. The catering by Vinwood was incredible – they had a live-action pasta station which was so fun, sliders, and some amazing appetizers. And again – the personal touches continued with Grace’s dad’s band playing the reception! He even sang the beginning of their father-daughter dance to Blue Sky by the Allman Brothers Band, which was really special. Then, surprise fireworks capped off the night! It was truly an amazing wedding.

Planning for Casual Elegance
As you are planning your wedding, do not hesitate to incorporate moments that make it feel really “you.” Though this wedding took place at a private estate by the coast in Marblehead, Grace and Jack included touches to give the day a relaxed feel instead of it being too stuffy and formal. An elegant wedding can still have casual moments as this one did! They broke tradition where they wanted to and planned a day that was unique to them and a blast for their guests.
