I absolutely love The Estate at Moraine Farm and believe it is one of the best New England wedding venues. I had the honor and pleasure of photographing Tara and Luis’ August wedding there last summer, and it was nothing short of perfect. Their romantic outdoor ceremony was followed by cocktail hour on the patio overlooking the lake, and then guests were treated to the most wonderful reception in the open-air tent under string lights. A Moraine Farm Wedding

Imagining a Moraine Farm wedding is certainly not a difficult feat when you step onto the property and view the gorgeous grounds. It is so romantic and timeless! The estate is located in beautiful Beverly, MA, right on Wenham Lake. For Tara and Luis’ wedding, they opted to hold their ceremony outdoors in the beautiful meadow and following that their guests enjoyed cocktail hour with a view of the lake. While guests enjoyed passed appetizers on the patio, we strolled through the rose garden for the most romantic portraits, capturing some really sweet moments in front of Moraine Farm’s iconic red garden gazebo.

Another thing I really love about weddings at The Estate at Moraine Farm is that the interior space is filled with so many beautiful architectural details. The getting-ready spaces are so classic and give off rich library vibes.

Tara and Luis’ special day was capped off with such a fun ceremony under the open-air tent, with string lights setting the mood for the evening. The couple enjoyed the sweetest toasts from their loved ones, and everyone danced the night away under the stars. It was the epitome of garden party elegance!

History of The Estate At Moraine Farm

For anyone wondering the history of this gorgeous property, it was originally designed in 1880 as a country estate overlooking the lake. It gets its name from a low ridge of glacial debris, which is called a moraine. The property is set on 175 acres in total, most of which is conservation land. It features multiple ceremony sites and stunning views for guests. I love that there are so many places to explore on the property!

Tara and Luis’ Love Story

Tara and Luis are such a wonderful couple. It was truly a pleasure to get to know them and capture their wedding photos! Their love story first began in 2018, and from there they moved in together in Cambridge. When it was time to have the forever conversation, they knew they wanted to plan the proposal together. They wanted to create a moment where they could each share how much they mean to each other. So, on a trip to Muir Woods in California, they each planned special proposals, making for the most memorable day. It doesn’t get much more authentic than that.
