I’m so excited to share this Hellenic Center wedding from last October today. Rachael and Dariush are such a sweet and authentic couple, and their wedding day was just perfect! The Mansion at the Hellenic Center is a spectacular wedding venue, and I was so honored to be able to capture R + D’s fabulous day there.

The Sweetest Couple

I enjoyed getting to know Rachael and Dariush all throughout their wedding planning process so much! They are both so sweet and fun to be around. We had a blast at their engagement photo session, and in fact, theirs is one of my all-time favorites! 

The happy couple first met while working together in Boston at Lovepop. Their relationship quickly blossomed, and then Dariush proposed to Rachael on a trip to Italy with her family. She was completely surprised, because it was right as a storm was coming in. So romantic! They’re truly such an authentic couple – their favorite activity is just enjoying quality time together. Whether it’s trying new cocktails in the evening, or enjoying slow mornings and breakfast together. I could tell how excited they were to be getting married, and how much they were enjoying this time in their lives!   

A Hellenic Center Wedding

R + D’s Hellenic Center wedding was as special as they are as a couple. The Mansion at the Hellenic Center is an absolutely gorgeous wedding venue in Ipswich, MA. It is a 100-year-old Georgian-style mansion that has been beautifully preserved. The entire property is filled with classic architectural details which create a stunning backdrop for weddings (and photos!). If you are looking for an elegant wedding venue in Massachusetts, the Hellenic Center is it! 

The day began with getting ready. We were able to capture some cute getting ready photos of both the bride’s and groom’s sides, and the Mansion was such a great backdrop. R + D were especially excited about their first look, and the moment did not disappoint! We then headed outside for the ceremony on the lawn, which was followed by a fun cocktail hour. After that, everyone headed inside the Mansion for dinner and dancing! 

The couple chose a classic black and white color palette which set the elegant tone of the evening. Rachael also got some parasols for her and the bridesmaids to carry, which was a really cute detail! And being that Dariush is a talented photographer himself, it was important to them to include some fun photo elements to the day. They chose photos of themselves as kids to feature on the table numbers (each picture was taken at the age of the table number!), and then they also had vintage cameras on each table that guests were challenged to use. Everything about the day was incredibly thoughtful and beautiful!   

Other Ipswich, MA Wedding Venues

I adored everything about Rachael and Dariush’s Hellenic Center wedding. The venue is a classic estate that sets the stage for any style event! Ipswich, MA is a gorgeous coastal town on the Massachusetts North Shore, and the perfect area for weddings. Some other favorite Ipswich MA wedding venues of mine include Crane Estate and the Tuner Hill Estate. I definitely recommend checking them out!
