Shannon + Abby originally reached out to me about their Moraine Farm wedding back in 2018, so you can only imagine how excited I am to finally be sharing their love story with the world. They’ve experienced all the ups and downs that have come along with planning a wedding during COVID, but at the end of the day, all of it was worth it!
Shannon & Abby’s Estate at Moraine Farm Wedding
During S + A’s celebration, you could tell how much everyone in attendance absolutely loved and adored the two of them. Because of COVID, they had to postpone their original celebration, as have most couples these past few years. That didn’t discourage them, or make their intimate wedding any less special. They decided to have a small, backyard wedding as soon as they could, and then a larger celebration the following year!
Their bridal parties were nothing but smiles and laughs throughout the whole day. Even while they were getting ready, you could feel all the excitement in the air. When Shannon + Abby saw each other for the first time during their first look, they were both in awe of the other! We were able to take some portraits of them right afterwards, which just might be some of my favorites from their day.
After their first look, we headed straight to their ceremony. There wasn’t a dry eye in the audience as they publicly declared their love for each other! It was amazing to see how supportive their families were, and how much love they had for them.
They had a beautiful, intimate reception where their family and friends gave the most heartwarming toasts. Their moms gave a combined toast, and both of Shannon’s brothers danced with her during the brother-sister dances! Abby’s dad gave quite the tear-jerking speech about how proud he was of his “daughters,” which was most definitely a highlight of the day.
A little about Shannon + Abby
S + A started their love story quite some time ago, where they first met playing soccer in college. After they met, Abby came to work at Shannon’s alma mater and the rest is history. Once it was time for a proposal to come around, Shannon had it all planned out! She led with a scavenger hunt, and ended on one knee on the very same soccer field that they had first met on. How sweet is that?? Following Shannon’s proposal, Abby popped the question during a quiet getaway that she had planned for the both of them, of course bringing their dog Easton along. Both proposals were perfect!
It has been so much fun getting to know Shannon + Abby throughout these past few years. Their smiles never cease to light each other up, and throughout their engagement session, their intimate, backyard ceremony, and their larger wedding celebration, their love for each other has only grown.
