Kim and Patrick’s New England Botanic Garden at Tower Hill wedding is absolutely one of my favorites to date. If modern elegance is your vibe, and you’re looking for New England wedding inspiration, then you will love everything about this stunning day.
New England Botanic Garden at Tower Hill
Kim and Patrick’s Botanic Garden at Tower Hill wedding was truly gorgeous. I love this venue and all of its natural beauty!
The Garden is open year-round to the public and is truly worth a visit – and, weddings here are spectacular. Located in Boylston, MA, Tower Hill overlooks the Wachusett Reservoir and is filled with beauty everywhere you look. The display of flora and fauna is breathtaking.
What I loved the most about Kim and Patrick’s wedding here was the variety of picturesque settings the Botanic Garden offers. K + P’s first look took place in the Garden of Inspiration, family photos were in the Secret Garden, the ceremony was in the Lawn Garden, and cocktail hour was in the Winter Garden. And most stunning of all, the reception took place in the Orangerie, an 18th-century-style glass conservatory. It was eye candy everywhere you looked! If you are looking for a garden-style wedding that offers a wide variety of looks, the New England Botanic Garden at Tower Hill is it. The architecture is perfect for any style of wedding as well. Whether you are going for whimsical and playful, or modern and elegant, the design possibilities are endless.

Kim + Patrick’s Love Story
To back up a little bit, Kim and Patrick’s love story began in 2015 when they first met. They actually didn’t hit it off at first, and it wasn’t until 2016 that they finally had their first date. Which they now describe as epic! In the six years since then that they’ve been together, they’ve enjoyed so many fun things together, including exploring Boston’s bar scene, New England’s ski seasons, and several island vacations. When it came time to plan their wedding, they knew that the New England Botanic Garden at Tower Hill would be perfect.
A New England Botanic Garden Wedding with Modern Elegance
First, K + P’s day began with getting ready, and then the couple shared a sweet first look at the venue. We took some family portrait photos in the Secret Garden, and from there we headed to the Lawn Garden for the ceremony. It was a beautiful summer day for an outdoor ceremony. As guests arrived they were greeted with music from a wonderful string quartet. After the ceremony, everyone enjoyed a nice cocktail hour outside, before heading indoors to the Orangerie for the reception. With the glass-conservatory design of the room, it felt like even the indoor portion of the evening was outdoors!
Everything about the day was beautiful and elegant. The floral designs were modern and stunning – including the bride’s bouquet, the centerpieces, the ceremony flowers, and even the cake. The couple also selected some cool signage that was featured throughout the event. All of the modern decor was a nice juxtaposition to the classic garden-style design of the venue. Even the food was modern and artful!
They included some other fun details in their day as well. A fancy ice cream cart served up the makings for ice cream sundaes to go with the cake. They had a great photo booth with lots of fun props. And they even had a cute mobile bar serving craft beer! Their entire day was modern elegance to a T.
