If you’re dreaming of a View Boston wedding with a chic, city-forward feel and incredible views, then you’ll definitely love Kim and Danny’s day! As a Boston wedding photographer, I’ve had the opportunity to capture weddings throughout the city, but this day was especially special.

Their celebration combined an intimate ceremony in nature with an elevated evening overlooking the Boston skyline. It was thoughtful, personal, and full of meaning from start to finish. It took place on a beautiful September day, and every part of their wedding felt so intentional.
Kim & Danny’s Elegant View Boston Wedding Day
Kim and Danny planned a wedding that focused on connection and experience. They chose a standing, intimate ceremony surrounded by the greenery of the Arboretum, followed by elegant cocktails, dinner, and a super fun dance party high above the city at View Boston. This venue is the newly renovated space at the top of the Prudential Tower, which was formerly the Top of the Hub.
Their guests were encouraged to wear black, which created such a cohesive, elevated look. It was sleek and modern at View Boston, and incredibly romantic against the natural setting of the Arnold Arboretum. From the live violinist to guest portraiture during the reception, every detail added to the feeling that this day was thoughtfully designed.

An Arnold Arboretum Wedding Ceremony
Kim and Danny chose a beautiful spot at the Arnold Arboretum for their ceremony. If you’re unfamiliar, the Arboretum is a stunning green space in Jamaica Plain, and it was the perfect contrast to the city celebration that followed.
Kim wore a sleek, elegant gown paired with a veil featuring floral embroidery. She looked completely classic and timeless. And later in the evening, after the ceremony, she opted for a wrist loop instead of a bustle for her train, which felt like an extra special detail. Danny wore a classic black suit, and together they looked incredibly refined.
The ceremony itself was deeply personal. Danny’s aunt officiated, and Kim’s mother made her bouquet. Kim also honored her late father in meaningful ways, including a locket with a photo of the two of them clipped onto her bouquet, and Danny wearing her father’s cufflinks. Kim wore her mother’s jewelry as well, which was so special.
I thought it was incredibly sweet how they honored Kim’s father in this way and prioritized family throughout their ceremony and celebration.

An Elegant View Boston Wedding Reception
After the ceremony, everyone made their way into the city for cocktails and dinner at View Boston. Danny actually proposed to Kim at View Boston, which made celebrating their wedding there even more special.
Cocktail hour took place in the Cloud Platforms space, followed by dinner and dancing in Studio 50 and The Beacon event spaces. With panoramic views of the city, it’s truly one of the most striking venues for a modern Boston wedding!

Right before cocktail hour, some clouds rolled through, which gave us the most beautiful light for portraits on the deck. As the evening went on, the illuminated tables and city lights created a cozy, romantic atmosphere inside. There were even fireworks off in the distance!
If you love the chic, city vibe of Kim and Danny’s wedding, you’ll also love Olivia and Joseph’s Park Plaza wedding, which was another beautiful Boston celebration with timeless style.
