I recently shared Gabrielle and Nathan’s gorgeous Martha’s Vineyard wedding ceremony, so today I’m excited to dive into day two of their wedding weekend celebration – their Cape Cod beach wedding at the Chequessett Club!

An Intimate Ceremony To Start the Weekend
Gabrielle grew up spending summers on Martha’s Vineyard with her family, so they opted to have their ceremony there, given the family significance. They chose a secluded spot on Great Tisbury Pond to exchange their vows with just their closest family present. It was so special and serene! A Cape Cod Beach Wedding at the Chequessett Club
So for day two, G + N pulled out all the stops to host an amazing beach wedding on the Cape!
The Chequessett Club is located right on the beach in Wellfleet, MA. The venue offers several locations that you can use for your reception. G + N wanted to give their guests a true Cape Cod experience, so they utilized both the tented reception area (which is literally on the sand of the club’s private beach!) and the boathouse.
The boathouse was a welcoming spot for guests with a covered porch and panoramic ocean views. It did rain a bit during their day, but that didn’t hamper anyone’s spirits! G + N embraced the classic New England weather, and were rewarded with a double rainbow later on 🙂
For dinner, they opted for two different food trucks to give guests a variety of food options, and they had a cocktail-style table setup to encourage lots of mingling. They wanted guests to be able to take full advantage of the different settings throughout the space.
There were lots of touching moments throughout Gabrielle and Nathan’s day, too, and it was really evident how much thought they put into creating a great experience for their guests. I loved getting to witness them surrounded by so much love from their family and friends! They even planned a sweet surprise: a birthday song for Gabrielle’s best friend’s daughter, who was about to turn one. Lots of happy tears throughout their day!

Why I Love The Chequessett Club
There are so many wonderful coastal wedding venues in Cape Cod and throughout New England, but I especially love that the Chequessett Club has its own private beach for you and your guests to enjoy. Often, venues offer great ocean views from afar, or gorgeous manicured lawns that overlook the water, but to have your reception right on the sand for a true beach wedding feel is truly a unique feature of the Chequessett Club!
It’s also nestled under the street above, and the private beach is barely visible from the street, so your wedding really has a secluded feel to it.

I loved how Gabrielle and Nathan paired the intimacy of their elopement-style ceremony on the Vineyard with the more traditional feel of their reception the next day. Everything was so intentionally planned that both they and their guests had a special experience.
