Are elegant, classic, old-money, and grand your wedding vibes? Then you will LOVE Olivia and Joseph’s Park Plaza Boston wedding! I was so honored to be there to photograph their day, and now I can’t wait to share their beautiful images. Keep reading for all of the details of this stunning wedding!
Park Plaza Boston Wedding
Olivia + Joseph’s day began at the Park Plaza Hotel in Boston. I joined them there as they were getting ready and captured some really sweet moments of each of them with their wedding parties. O + J opted not to see each other before the ceremony, so rather than stop for a first look we headed straight to the Church for the ceremony. They were married at the Our Lady Help of Christians in Newton and had a very elegant and traditional Catholic ceremony. Their ceremony was so heartfelt and emotional!
After the ceremony, everyone hopped on trolleys and headed back downtown. Before going back to the Park Plaza, we stopped off at Boston Common for photos in the park. Olivia was really excited about photos under the willow trees, and we had the perfect afternoon for it! O + J also took a moment after portrait photos to exchange private vows. I loved that they blended the traditional Catholic ceremony with a private vow exchange – it was a nice way for them to have a special moment together amidst the busy day.
From the Common, we headed back to the reception at the Park Plaza. Talk about grandeur! The Park Plaza is an absolutely stunning hotel, and the ballroom is spectacular. O + J made their entrance into the reception from the balcony! Olivia is a New England Patriots cheerleader, and so her teammates led the bridal party out during introductions. It was an incredible way to kick off the party!
The rest of the evening was so beautiful and elegant. All of their decor was timeless, the cake was modern and stunning, and everyone had a blast celebrating Olivia + Joseph’s love.

Special Wedding Details
In addition to all of the elegant details, O + J also included lots of sentimental elements in their day.
For instance, they chose the Park Plaza not just for its beauty, but Olivia’s family members have a history of working there, and while she was in nursing school she would go there to study, not even realizing the family history at the time!
The church also had family significance – it is the same church where Olivia’s grandparents were married, so it was a special and emotional choice. They also honored both of their families’ roots with traditional dances and cultural wedding customs.
